B.L.I.S.S. - Teachers and Special Guests!

The Technique Tuesday teaching team and their special guests will teach you their favorite techniques, share their paper crafting philosophies, help you make wonderful paper craft projects, entertain and delight your creative spirit, and just hang out with you during the informal creative times each night!

Ali Edwards - Special Guest
Ali is well known for her signature style of everyday-life scrapbooking. She started scrapbooking in 2002 as a hobby and as a way to organize all the stuff she had collected after the birth of her son. In 2003, she entered Creating Keepsakes Magazine Hall of Fame contest and was one of the winners that year. Since then she has written four books about scrapbooking, traveled and taught across the US and around the world, and inspires her students to capture their own lifes, tell their stories fearlessly, and celebrate the everyday moments. During the workshops and activities, Ali will share her unique paper crafting philosophies and perspectives while the Technique Tuesday teachers guide your through the B.L.I.S.S. projects. Ali will also be teaching her brand-new Storyology workshop
Bev Grey - Technique Tuesday Founder and CEO
Bev enjoyed her career in the high-tech world but when her daughter was born, Bev was thrilled to stay home with her new baby. As she began scrapbooking pictures of her daughter, Bev decided to use a new technique on every layout. Soon friends were coming to her house every Tuesday afternoon to learn from Bev. When Bev’s daughter started school, Bev combined her love of scrapbooking with her business background and announced her new company, Technique Tuesday. Bev's passion for teaching new techniques and helping people discover and celebrate their own creativity is evident in all of the workshops you will be taking at B.L.I.S.S.
Darcy Debord - Technique Tuesday Education Coordinator
Darcy’s love of paper crafting and her passion for teaching is obvious as soon as you meet her! During the last 10 years she has worked in the paper crafting industry while also scrapbooking her own family memories. She draws from her background as an interior designer to create beautiful color schemes. Her projects and tips have been published in Paper Crafts magazine. If you have been lucky enough to take one of Darcy’s classes, you know that she shares the best tips and techniques, helps each person she meets find their true style, and does it all with natural charisma and charm. Taking classes from Darcy is pure B.L.I.S.S.
Eileen Collins - Technique Tuesday Creative Director
For her entire life, Eileen has been drawing, painting, writing, sewing, refinishing furniture, and undertaking just about any creative pursuit she could get her hands on. But on Leap Day 2000, her son was born and Eileen became a scrapbooker. Soon the local store owners recognized Eileen’s talent and asked her to teach classes. Eileen’s first idea book was published in 2004 and her projects have been featured in major paper crafting magazine. The lucky people who come to this event will find Eileen’s vision and imagination in the projects they make and they will leave feeling like they have found their creative B.L.I.S.S. Samantha Kangas - Technique Tuesday Teacher and Convention Manager
When you meet Sam, you immediately know that you are meeting someone extra special! She’s a complex mix of just get-it-done attitude, moto-cross biker mom, collector of fabulous shoes, and passion about the whole notion of family and friends. She has managed scrapbook stores, taught hundreds of paper crafting classes, and has been on several manufacturer’s design teams. But Samantha’s strengths in this industry go deeper than paper, embellishments, stamps, and ink. She cares about the stories behind the photos and the reasons why we scrapbook and make cards. Although her red hair and rock-and-roll attitude may be the first things you notice, you will come to treasure her sense of humor, her kindness, and the fresh perspective Sam brings to B.L.I.S.S.
