We want to you have the best time at B.L.I.S.S.! If you don't find
the answers to your questions here, please
send us an email message.
What exactly is B.L.I.S.S.?
B.L.I.S.S. is an exclusive, two and a half days of workshops, creative exploration, and fun! The Technique Tuesday teaching team and special guest, Ali Edwards, will teach you their favorite techniques, share their paper crafting philosophies, be your guides through at least 6 amazing workshops, help you make wonderful paper craft projects, entertain and delight your creative spirit, and just hang out with you during the informal
creative times each night!
Where is B.L.I.S.S. being held?
All of the workshops, the make and takes, the demonstrations, and
informal evening creative time will be held at the Red Lion Resort in
Portland, Oregon. Most of the activities will be held in an air-conditioned room but you never know... If the weather is good, we may spend the evenings outside in the hot tub or pool watching the yachts go by on the
spectacular Columbia River and debating whose paper crafting techniques are the best.
I don't live within driving distance. Can I come to B.L.I.S.S.?
Absolutely! Although we are expecting many people from the Portland area, we are looking forward to seeing people from all over the US and around the world. If you are driving to the event, take I-5 to exit #308 (Jantzen Beach Exit). The hotel is located on the east side of the freeway.
Here is the address:
909 N. Hayden Island Drive
Portland, 97217

I live nearby. Do I need to stay at the hotel?
You can stay where ever you want! We specifically designed B.L.I.S.S. to let you go home each night if you want to, bring
your family and have a mini-vacation, or have a fabulous weekend
at the Red Lion Resort with your creative friends. The workshops start at 9:30am each morning and finish around 6pm. There will be
an open room overlooking the Columbia River so you can scrapbook and
paper craft on Thursday and Friday night. Whether you choose to go home
to the comfort of your own bed or decide you want the convenience of staying at the hotel, you will have an amazing time!
Is my family welcome?
While you are attending B.L.I.S.S. workshops and activities, your family can enjoy the beautiful Red Lion resort and many family-friendly

must be at least 16-years old, have paid to attend, be able to sit quietly and pariticipate in the activity, and not be disruptive to the other attendees.
How are B.L.I.S.S. workshops different from convention classes?
The workshops you will take at B.L.I.S.S. are designed specifically for B.L.I.S.S. The B.L.I.S.S. workshops are each
at least 2 hours (instead of only one hour for a convention class) so you will be able to create more projects, learn more advanced techniques, and spend more time with the talented, and very fun teachers and special guests.
I want to be assigned to the same workshops with a group of my friends. Is that possible?
Yes. When you finish registering on our webiste for B.L.I.S.S. and are checking out, provide the first and last names of your friends in the "Other comments" field. We cannot guarantee you will be placed together unless you and each of your friends provide the names of the people who want to be in the same workshop group. If you are coming alone, don't worry! You will soon be friends with the Technique Tuesday teachers, special guests, and with the other people who are in your workshop group.

Although B.L.I.S.S. is being held at a wonderful resort, we want you to be comfortable, relaxed, and ready to be creative! The weather in June can be sunny and warm or rainy and chilly. Most of us will be wearing jeans and comfortable tee-shirts. The workshops and creative times are all in air-conditioned rooms so you may want to bring a sweater. Portlanders and Pacific Northwesterners tend to be very casual so wear whatever you want and you'll fit right in!
