Use a simple masking technique and gold watercolor paint to create a card elegant enough for a wedding or special occasion.
Get this look by starting with a 3x4 card cut from watercolor paper. Using masking tape, mask off a border a quarter of an inch on all four sides of the card. Stamp the flower inside the taped area. Let the ink dry and apply a thin mask of rubber cement over the stamped image using a stylus. Paint the rectangle with gold watercolor paint. Allow the paint to dry and then rub the rubber cement off with a finger. For a finishing touch, draw a frame around the edges of the masking tape with a black pen.
Remove the masking tape and mount the gold card onto a piece of black paper. For a little extra bling, add gold string and mount onto a card base.
This card shows simple designs and a chic color palette can work together to create a versatile card.
